Happy New Year! We made it y’all 🙌🏽
I hope 2026 brings you a wealth of joy, peace, and abundant blessings. My hope is that this year creates room for us to grow in the ways we need to and to glow even brighter.
And on this first day of the year, I have a couple things for you…
Reflect, Reset, and Refocus
The way we enter a new year looks different for all of us. There truly is no one size fits all approach. What has worked well for me though over the past few years is easing into the year by using January as my reset month.
It is a month that is intentional while still being easeful. I take time to reflect on the year behind me, honestly taking inventory of what went well and what I want to do differently. From there, I reset and refocus on what the path forward will look like.
Out of that process, I created a comprehensive 40+ page planning guide and workbook that I referenced in my previous post. It is one I have personally used, and it has supported others, as well. In fact, I was all too happy when a friend asked a couple weeks ago if I was releasing the guide again :)
So as a reminder, the guide is available here on my Substack as a freebie for paid subscribers (for less than the cost of a cup of coffee). There is also an option to unlock a one time free access if you are not quite ready to upgrade to paid. My heart is simply that you have access to support as you reflect, reset, and set goals that actually feel good and doable.
Self-Care and Stewardship
A couple of months ago, I knew these would be my words for the year, or maybe even for this season of life. I am looking forward to sharing the revelations that come along with them.
For me, self-care goes far beyond beauty routines. In its simplest form, it is caring for yourself. Right now, that looks like being more intentional about my physical health, getting to the root of health challenges, moving my body, and pouring into my own cup before pouring out for others.
Self-care does not have to be your word for the year, but it is something most of us could be more mindful of in one way or another.
Stewardship, on the other hand, is about managing well all that I have been blessed with. My gifts, my business, my time and schedule, my finances, my home, my roles, and my relationships, and more. I am learning that a major part of good stewardship is eliminating distractions and releasing excuses that no longer serve me.
A Gentle Takeaway as We Begin the Year
You do not have to do everything. You do not have to do it all at once. But you can choose to be more intentional with how you care for yourself and how you manage what is already in your hands.
If you feel called to slow down, reflect, and reset, start there. If you need structure and support, the guide is available for you. And if all you do today is take one deep breath and set one clear intention, that is enough.
Here is to a year of caring well for ourselves and stewarding our lives with purpose.
Until I pop in with the next post, keep going, growing and glowing!
